Well, Carl Pei, you win! The Nothing Phone (1) was good enough to have us all excited about the next iteration. We’ve been waiting on information about the Nothing Phone (2), and we just got the launch date. This isn’t a leak or rumor, as the company officially announced this.
Here’s the launch date of the Nothing Phone (2)
The Nothing Twitter account officially posted the launch date of the Nothing Phone (2). This phone is set to hit the market on July 11th. That’s in 28 days, so there’s still a bit of a wait.
At this point, we don’t know the pre-ordering situation for this phone, so we’re not sure if pre-orders will start before or on that date. What we do know is that Nothing is now comfortably nestled in this early summer release cycle.
What do we know about this phone so far?
We’ve been following a ton of leaks and rumors regarding this upcoming device. Since these are leaks and rumors, you’ll want to take this information with a grain of salt until the phone launches or until Carl Pei drops another teaser.
Starting off with the processor, we know that the Nothing Phone (2) will have a power boost over the Nothing Phone (1). Rumor has it that this phone will use the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. This is the flagship processor from the company last year, so you should expect some killer performance.
We expect this phone to come with an impressive 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Those are pretty standard flagship specs.
Rumors also point to this phone having a large 5,000mAh battery. The Nothing Phone (1) offered 33W charging, but rumors say that the Nothing Phone (2) could come with 67W charging.
Moving on to the display, we know that this phone will use an AMOLED display what they 120Hz refresh rate. It’s going to be a little bit bigger than last year’s model, and we expect it to be about 6.7 in.
As for the camera package, we expect this phone to have a 50MP main camera with two other accompanying cameras. We’re not sure what those cameras will do just yet.
Other specs include IP67 water and dust resistance, Android 13 out of the box, and 3 years of Android OS updates.
When the Nothing Phone (2) launches, it will also be available in the United States, so if you were disappointed about the lack of the Nothing Phone (1), you’d be happy to know that it’s coming Stateside when it launches.
