The OnePlus 12 is coming, and even though its launch timeframe is not even close, the phone’s display info already surfaced. This information comes from Digital Chat Station, a well-known Chinese tipster.
The OnePlus 12 display details have appeared online
He went to Weibo to report that the OnePlus 12 will use an OLED display made by Samsung Display. On top of that, he said that the phone will feature a display with curved edges, and a centered display camera hole at the top. QHD+ resolution will also be supported, as will a 120Hz refresh rate.
This basically sounds like the OnePlus 11’s panel, in all honesty. On the other hand, all major flagships belong in this display spec bracket. It’s the additional differences that will set this display apart.
Chances are that the OnePlus 11’s panel will be brighter
The OnePlus 11’s panel is great, to say the least. It’s vivid, has great viewing angles, good touch response, and so on. It’s even bright enough at 1,300 nits at its peak. Still, some phones out there went above and beyond in terms of brightness, crossing the 2,000 nits level.
The OnePlus 12 may have a similar panel to the OnePlus 11 in many ways, but chances are it will be brighter. We do not know the exact numbers at the moment, but that is a given. It will also support HDR10+ content, and have Dolby Vision support.
The OnePlus 12 is coming in Q1 next year
Now, the OnePlus 11 launched in early January this year. Its successor could arrive around the same time next year. Do note that it launched in China in January, while it took OnePlus a bit of time to launch it globally.
We can safely say that the OnePlus 12 will see its global launch in the first quarter of next year. Well, if OnePlus doesn’t decide to change things up considerably, of course.
