The OnePlus Fold (or OnePlus V Fold, it all depends) will launch in Q3 this year, and a tipster just gave us the very first look at the phone. @OnLeaks partnered up with Smartprix in order to throw CAD-based renders our way.
CAD-based renders give us our very first look at the OnePlus Fold
If you check out the gallery below the article, you’ll get to see the phone itself. This basically confirms that OnePlus is going for a vertically-oriented book-style foldable, similar to Samsung’s ‘Fold’ series. It won’t lean towards the OPPO Find N2 or Pixel Fold in terms of the overall footprint or design.
Now, you’ll notice that it has thin bezels on the cover display, and a centered display camera hole. The phone seems to be quite thin, but we don’t have the exact measurements at the moment.
There is a layer of vegan leather placed on the back, along with three cameras, backed by Hasselblad. What’s more, a periscope telephoto camera is included, along with wide (main) and ultrawide cameras.
Another thing you’ll notice is that the phone’s cameras do protrude on the back, as they’re all a part of the camera oreo on the back. We’re getting the OPPO Find X6 Pro vibes here, to a degree, which makes us believe the OPPO Find N3 will look similar, if not identical to this phone.
An alert slider will be included, as will a side-facing fingerprint scanner
An alert slider is present on the device. The phone’s power/lock key will double as a fingerprint scanner, as expected. On top of everything, there are three speakers included here.
This phone will be fueled either by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, or perhaps the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 if it launches at all. Both of its displays will offer a 120Hz refresh rate, while the main one will probably also have a QHD+ resolution.
A 4,800mAh battery is tipped, along with extremely fast SuperVOOC wired charging. We’re not sure if wireless charging will be included in the package. If you’d like to know more about the device, check out our preview.
