Google Pixel 8 will be available to pre-order tomorrow

The Google Pixel 8 series is launching tomorrow, and it will also become available to pre-order on the same day. That is something we expected would happen, and Google flat-out confirmed it.

The company confirmed the info via a recent ad it shared. In that ad, it’s basically trying to get people to switch to a Pixel, and we already wrote about it. Well, towards the very end, the company shows us a Pixel 8 phone, and at the bottom, it confirms the pre-order date. You can see that in the image below.

As a reminder, the Google Pixel 8 event will kick off at 10 AM EST / 7 AM PST / 4 PM CET / 3 PM BST, in case you’re interested. Google will livestream it, so you’ll be able to tune in and follow what’s happening live.

During the event, the company will announce its Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro handsets, and the Pixel Watch 2 smartwatch. Now, Google is planning to offer great pre-order perks too. That info did not get confirmed yet, but it did leak several times.

Google is planning to offer great pre-order perks

If you opt to pre-order the Pixel 8 in the US, you’ll get a free pair of the Pixel Buds Pro. If you pre-order the Pixel 8 Pro, on the other hand, you’ll get a free Pixel Watch 2. Those pre-order perks may be available in some other countries too, though.

The Pixel 8 series has been leaking for quite some time now, and there’s very little to hide at this point. They’ll look similar to their predecessors, but the Pixel 8 will be a bit smaller than the Pixel 7. So it will actually be a compact flagship smartphone.

It will also have one less camera than the Pixel 8 Pro, and a less sharp display. Several other differences will be in play, but both smartphones will be quite powerful. Google will also allegedly use a new main camera sensor in both smartphones, amongst other changes.
