Ulefone Armor X12 is here, an affordable rugged phone

Ulefone has just announced a new smartphone, the Armor X12. This is one of the company’s budget phones. As you may assume, it’s also a rugged smartphone, hence the ‘Armor’ in its name.

The Ulefone Armor X12 is now official, a cheaper variant of the Armor X12 Pro

This phone comes with the ‘x-racing’ design that its sibling, the Armor X12 Pro, features. The device has a 5.45-inch HD display, and it’s more compact than many of its siblings.

The Ulefone Armor X12 is IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810H certified. In other words, it’s not only water resistant, but it can take a hit too. It’s a tough cookie, as are other ‘Armor’ phones from Ulefone.

Android 13 Go Edition comes pre-installed on this handset. That is a variant of Android 13 that is made for budget, entry-level phones, so that they run smoother overall. Facial scanning is supported here, while there is no fingerprint scanner included. 4G connectivity is supported, but 5G is not.

Now, the Ulefone Armor X12 is fueled by the MediaTek Helio A22 SoC. Ulefone also included 3GB of RAM here, along with 32GB of internal storage. You can expand its storage via a microSD card slot (up to 256GB). The phone also features a 13-megapixel main camera (Sony’s IMX214 sensor), and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

It has a rather beefy battery for its size, and can last a long time on a single charge

The company included a 4,860mAh battery here, which is quite large for this phone’s size. Ulefone says you can get up to 264 hours of standby time, 20 hours of calling time, and 8 hours of video playback on a single charge.

The Ulefone Armor X12 measures 157.19 x 76.8 x 14.34mm, while it weighs 257 grams. The phone will become available to purchase soon, and it will be quite affordable. Unfortunately, however, we still don’t know its price tag.
