SteelSeries made one of the best gaming headsets on the market when it released the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, and now Best Buy has a deal on it you don’t want to miss. This is far and away my personal favorite gaming headset for a few reasons. Not the least of which is how comfortable it is. It’s also an expensive gaming headset at full retail price which is $350. Now, however, it’s on sale for $281. This isn’t exactly a cheap price, but it’s $69 less than full retail and it doesn’t come down in price this low very often.
The sale never usually lasts long either, so you definitely want to jump on it while you can. So what makes this gaming headset so good? There are two reasons that help it stand out from nearly every other headset out there. These features you either won’t find on many other gaming headsets or any other gaming headsets at all. The first is the ability to connect up to two different inputs at once using the 2.4GHz low-latency base station that comes with the headset. You can plug this into both your gaming PC and a console, and the headset connects to this wirelessly. You can then swap back and forth between the two sources instantly.
This makes it super simple to move from playing games on one platform to the other. The other really awesome feature you won’t find elsewhere is the hot-swappable batteries. With most wireless headsets, you’re going to have to charge it eventually. But not the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless. Instead, this headset employs the use of two removable batteries. One goes in the headset while the other stays in the base station. When the one in the headset dies, you can swap it out for the charged one. And as long as you swap it within about 8 seconds, the headset won’t power off so it stays connected to the source.
This is an extremely invaluable feature. Because it ensures constant uptime. Of course, as mentioned before the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless is also extremely comfortable. In fact, it’s one of the most comfortable headsets I’ve ever worn. Plus, it sounds great and the mic is pretty darn good as well.
