Google is now gradually releasing the highly-hyped “Circle to Search” feature to the Pixel Tablet. The intuitive feature has already made its way to the Pixel Fold and Samsung’s premium Galaxy smartphones.
Pixel Tablets receiving “Circle to Search” feature unlocking simpler searching
The Circle to Search is currently available on a few premium Android smartphones. Samsung is one of the first companies to quickly send out the feature in January and the company has discovered users love it.
Surprisingly, Google was a little late. The company sent out the feature to Google Pixel 8 series smartphones by including it in the Pixel Feature Drop, which arrived a few days after Samsung’s update for the Samsung Galaxy S24 series.

The feature has remained exclusive to Google’s and Samsung’s latest flagship phones. However, this changed in late March. Google sent out the feature to Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, and Pixel 7a. Meanwhile, Samsung rolled it out to the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series. Samsung rolled out, what it calls, the big Galaxy AI feature update, which includes the Circle to Search feature.
Google had promised it would roll out the Circle to Search feature to Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet. The company hadn’t committed to a deadline. However, Google has started to roll out the Circle to Search feature to the Pixel Tablet.

According to Android Authority, a single Pixel Tablet running the latest Android 15 Beta 1.2 release with Google App version 15.17.28.29 installed, has the feature. The user reportedly received a notification confirming the feature’s arrival, which read:
“Hold the bottom bar to search what’s on [their] screen.”
How to use Circle to Search feature and will other Android smartphones get it?
Tapping on the “Try Circle to Search” notification activates the feature. Users will be able to use the feature on their Pixel Tablet as advertised.
Circle to Search is the next evolutionary leap in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for Google Lens. It allows users to draw a circle around any image or text on which they wish to gather more information.

Google has been heavily advertising this feature. However, the search giant may have been deliberately releasing the new feature quite slowly to Android smartphones and tablets.
It seems the Circle to Search might not be fully ready. This is because the feature’s notification asks users to hold the bottom bar. The bottom bar isn’t visible on the home screen of the Google Pixel Tablet.
Pixel Tablet users can, however, summon the feature everywhere else it’s possible to use it. Needless to say, smartphone and tablet users may end up using the Circle to Search feature the most in web browsers. Although Google and Samsung have restricted the rollout of the feature to their premium smartphones, it could gradually make its way to devices from other manufacturers.
