The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra rumors have been all over the place. We’ve even seen some conflicting rumors regarding its RAM count. Well, one of the most trusted tipsters has just decided to put those rumors to rest. Ice Universe has confirmed that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be getting a RAM bump, and it was about time.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra will get a RAM bump, a trusted tipster says
According to the tipster, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature 16GB of RAM. As a reminder, the Galaxy S24 Ultra shipped with 12GB of RAM. Many would say that’s plenty, and while they may be right, AI is getting more and more prominent on Samsung’s devices, so the RAM bump is warranted. Also, considering the price of the phone, many users expect to get 16GB of RAM.
Ice Universe shared the information via X. He simply wrote “16GB yes!”. He did not mention the phone name or anything, but it’s obvious what he meant. The reactions in the comments were quite positive.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra will become official in Q1 2025, almost certainly. We’re expecting the phone to arrive in January, alongside the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+. All three phones will ship with a bevy of AI features as part of Galaxy AI. Some Google AI features will also be a part of the package, of course.
Samsung’s next-gen flagship will also include an S Pen, and a brand new flagship chip
The ‘Ultra’ model will also ship with an S Pen, of course. The phone will get a boost in terms of hardware specs too. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is expected to fuel the phone. There’s still a chance that we’ll see both Exynos and Snapdragon versions, though. It is more likely that we’ll get to see only a Snapdragon version, though.
Samsung is allegedly having yield problems with the next-gen Exynos chip. Nothing is set in stone, though, as it’s based on rumors. So we’ll just have to wait and see what will happen.
The company is also expected to boost the phone’s camera prowess and some other aspects of the device. Its design is also a mystery at this point, the company could make more notable design changes this time around.
