Xiaomi, the world’s third-largest smartphone vendor, is gearing up to launch its brand-new flagship smartphones at MWC 2025. The event is taking place next week, but leading up to the announcement, the complete leaked specs of the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra have made their way online, courtesy of @Sudhanshu1414 on X. We had already brought you a lot of these specs in our exclusive report. The posts also contain additional renders of both phones, giving us a clearer idea of what to expect.
Xiaomi 15 & 15 Ultra specs
The Xiaomi 15 features a 6.36-inch CrystalRes AMOLED LTPO display with a 1.5K resolution (2670 × 1200px) and a dynamic refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra, on the other hand, boasts a larger 6.73-inch WQHD+ AMOLED LTPO display with a higher 3200 × 1440px resolution and the same adaptive 1-120Hz refresh rate.
Both devices are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset built on a 3nm process, paired with an Adreno 830 GPU for enhanced graphics performance. They support LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, ensuring fast data access and multitasking. Oddly enough, the spec sheet doesn’t mention how much RAM the phones will pack. However, our previous report hinted that the Ultra model could come with 16GB of RAM, along with 512GB and 1TB storage options.
The Xiaomi 15 sports a 50MP triple-camera setup developed in collaboration with Leica. It features a wide-angle lens with OIS, a 5x zoom telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide lens. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra takes it a step further. It comes with a quad-camera system, which includes a 50MP wide-angle sensor, a 50MP floating telephoto lens, a powerful 200MP periscope zoom lens with OIS, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. Both phones feature a 32MP front camera for selfies.
In terms of battery life, the Xiaomi 15 packs a 5,240mAh battery, while the Xiaomi 15 Ultra offers a slightly larger 5,410mAh battery. Both models support 90W wired charging. The Xiaomi 15 also supports 50W wireless charging while the Xiaomi 15 Ultra features an even faster 80W wireless charging. It also comes with reverse wireless charging capabilities.
Differences in design
Based on the specs, the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra have obviously different under-the-hood designs. However, that’s not all that’s different. The renders reveal that both phones will sport dramatically different designs. The Xiaomi 15 looks kind of pedestrian and “normal.” It has slightly curved edges along the side and a square camera module on the back.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra, however, sports a much different look. The camera module is circular and appears larger. One color variant even sports a dual-tone design that mimics the look of Leica’s classic rangefinder cameras. We’ll have more details about the global launch of both phones at MWC 2025. So be sure to check back with us next week!
