Samsung kicked off 2025 by announcing its new Galaxy S25 series of flagship phones. From now on, the company will be releasing devices in more affordable series and other product lineups. Recently, some key details about future phones in the successful Galaxy A family have emerged. Now, Samsung has officially confirmed that it will launch the first Galaxy A series phones of 2025 on March 2.
Samsung has enabled a section on its official website announcing the launch of new Galaxy A handsets on March 2, 2025. The company has not specifically revealed which devices we will see. However, the image included on the site slightly teases the design of a couple of the phones. The most notable thing is the Key Island that the company has been using on some mid-range phones lately. It also highlights the curved corners that many will appreciate – especially those whose pants were damaged by the sharp edges of the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
The Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 could be the first Galaxy A models of 2025
The teaser image also suggests that while the frame will be mostly flat, it will have slight curves at its edges. This should help with a more comfortable feel in hand. Not much more can be gleaned from the renders, although we can speculate based on background information. In 2024, Samsung launched the Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34 in mid-March. So, it is possible that the phones that the company will announce next month will be their direct successors: the Galaxy 56 and Galaxy A36.
According to leaks, the Galaxy A56 will be powered by the Exynos 1580 chip. There will be no revolutionary changes at the hardware level, betting on continuity. The device could be built around a Full HD+ 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED display at 120 Hz. A 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging could keep the lights on. Its rear camera system could integrate 50 MP (main) + 12 MP (ultra wide) + 5 MP (macro) sensors. It could also incorporate a 12 MP selfie camera.
Samsung recently released the Galaxy A06, which comes pre-installed with One UI 7. So, it is quite likely that the alleged Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 will also include the long-awaited Android 15-based update.
