Ulefone has fully announced its new smartphone, the Armor 28 Ultra. The company refers to this phone as the “most powerful rugged flagship”. It’s the most powerful phone Ulefone ever released, and it really does seem interesting.

The phone does look like a tank, truth be said. It also has a truly interesting camera module on the back, with a secondary screen in the middle of it. You can check out the design in the gallery below the article.
The Ulefone Armor 28 Ultra comes in a thermal and non-thermal version. The thermal model includes thermal imaging cameras, while the non-thermal version has IR cameras on the back.
This smartphone also has a rather powerful spec sheet. It’s fueled by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor, and it also offers 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 flash storage.
In addition to a large AMOLED display on the front, which has the peak brightness of 2,200 nits, there is also a second panel on the back, a small one. That display is tiny and circular, it’s placed in the middle of the camera module.
It includes a 1-inch type camera
This phone also comes with a 1-inch type camera. It utilizes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 camera on the back, as its main camera. Two other cameras are placed back there, in addition to a 50-megapixel selfie camera.
The thermal camera on the back of the device has industry-leading thermal imaging capability. It offers images with a resolution of 640 x 512, an independent ISP, and a ±2% accuracy. Ulefone says this is the “highest thermal resolution ever seen in a smartphone”.
A 10,600mAh battery is also included in the package
The Ulefone Armor 28 Ultra also comes with IP68 and IP69K certification for water and dust resistance. A huge 10,600mAh battery sits on the inside of the device, while the phone supports 120W wired and 50W wireless charging.
The phone will become available to purchase on March 17 in both its thermal and non-thermal versions. The thermal version of the phone is expected to be priced under $1,500, but the company did not share the exact pricing just yet.
Ulefone is also running a giveaway for the launch of this phone, and the Ulefone Armor 28 Ultra Thermal Version is the grand prize.
