Users of the OnePlus 13 smartphone can now test drive the Android 16 version. In a forum post on its community, OnePlus announced the release of the Android 16 Beta 2 update for its latest flagship. While it is the second Android 16 Beta build, it is the first public release of the new Android iteration that OnePlus has released for testing for the OnePlus 13.
Intended only for developers and advanced users
OnePlus states that it has developed the Android 16 Beta 2 update only for developers and advanced users. Living up to its name, this build has several known problems, which is why the company recommends only developers and advanced Android users install it. Also, OnePlus wants people to avoid installing this build on their OnePlus 13 if they use the phone as their daily driver.
The Android 16 Beta 2 build for the OnePlus 13 has a blurry camera viewfinder. Its users may experience lag on the lock screen and random restarts after answering calls through a Bluetooth headset. The build also has some other issues, like camera crashes when switching to the Macro mode and screen freezes when using the accessibility shortcut button.
It’s worth mentioning that the beta update won’t be available for the OnePlus 13R users, at least for now. Also, it won’t work on carrier OnePlus 13 units purchased from Verizon and T-Mobile.
