Google Pixel 9 specifications

The Google Pixel 9 is the most affordable Pixel 9 smartphone, and yet it’s not that much behind its siblings in terms of specifications. The device was announced today, and we’re here to take a closer look at its specs.

The Google Pixel 9 specifications are nothing to scoff at

The Pixel 9 is fueled by the Google Tensor G4 processor. That is Google’s brand new chip. It comes with the Titan M2 coprocessor for security. Google also included 12GB of RAM here, along with 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.

The phone features a 6.3-inch fullHD+ (2424 x 1080) Actua display. This is an OLED display with a refresh rate that ranges from 60 to 120Hz. The Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protects this panel. It’s also worth noting that the maximum brightness is 2,700 nits and that HDR content is supported.

A 4,700mAh battery is included here too. The phone supports 27W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. On top of that, reverse wireless charging is also supported here (5W). The company says you can get up to 55% charge in around 30 minutes with Google’s 45W charger. That charger is sold separately, though.

There are two cameras on the back, while the phone is water and dust resistant

The Google Pixel 9 has two cameras on the back. A 50-megapixel main camera (f/1.68 aperture, 82-degree FoV, 1/1.31-inch image sensor, Super Res Zoom up to 8x, OIS, EIS) is included here. You’ll also find a 48-megapixel camera (f/1.7 aperture, 123-degree FoV, 1/2.55-inch sensor size) on the back. A single 10.5-megapixel camera (f/2.2 aperture, 95-degree FoV) sits on the front.

The Pixel 9 is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. It includes an under-display fingerprint scanner, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is included on the back of the phone too, same as on the front.

Android 14 comes pre-installed on the phone, but Android 15 is right around the corner. Google is also promising 7 years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates, by the way. In the US, the phone also supports the Satellite SOS feature.

A dual SIM setup (nano SIM + eSIM) is used here, while the phone has stereo speakers. Spatial audio support is also here, as is Bluetooth 5.3.

You can choose between four color options

The Google Pixel 9 measures 152.8 x 72 x 8.5mm, and it weighs 198 grams. The device comes in Obsidian, Peony, Porcelain, and Wintergreen color variants
