We will tonight be treated to a rematch six months in the making as the British pair will look to settle their rivalry at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC). A contentious first bout in Riyadh ended when both men fell over the ropes, in which Whittaker suffered an ankle injury and needed a wheelchair to leave the ring before being sent to the hospital.

It was a tough pill for Cameron to swallow, as many felt he had shown more than enough to earn a sizable upset win amid suggestions Whittaker had purposely heaved the pair out of the ring, a suggestion which his rival has repeatedly laughed off. It meant a surprise end to the early-career winning streak of Whittaker that had stood at eight.

The build-up to tonight has featured yet more hostility from the pair, and headlines a packed undercard in Birmingham. Earlier in the night, Frazer Clarke scored a thunderous first-round knockout of Ebenezer Tetteh on his return to the ring before Sam Eggington beat Lee Cutler to win the WBC international silver super-welterweight belt. The action got underway at 7pm, follow Whittaker and Cameron 2 live below!

Frazer Clarke to Sky Sports

"I've been crying out for that kind of performance since my debut, especially the last six months being in a dark place at times. That feels amazing.

"People can take from it what they want, but I felt fit, strong, very focused. He caught me with a lead upper-cut straight away and it woke me up.

"I was so happy being back in the ring, I live for this, I love it. Thank you to everybody who has stuck with me the last six months."

Clarke celebrates on his own. He’s just speaking post-fight and looks so happy.

Such a great return after that devastating defeat last year.

Tetteh hasn’t even stuck around for confirmation of his loss.

Poor form, that.

What just happened?

Both fighters looked to start quick, then. Tetteh threw a few extravagant punches which come nowhere near landing until Clarke clocked him with a left to the temple and then a right sent him to the mat.

Tetteh got to his feet, was allowed to continue but Clarke hit two more and that was fight over.

Tetteh is fuming that he wasn’t allowed to continue, but it didn’t look like his defences were up at the end there. The right call.

Tyler Denny to Sky Sports

"I've got skills. People think I just come forward, I've heard people in the media say it would be a close fight, but I've showed my skills.

"My kids are here somewhere, they've never seen me fight before.

"I've never really chased titles. I've never turned a fight down."
