Xiaomi Mi 8

Xiaomi Mi 8 Information:

The Xiaomi Mi 8 was announced in May 2018, along with the Mi 8 Explorer Edition and Mi 8 SE smartphones. The Xiaomi Mi 8 is made out of metal and glass, and it sports a rather wide notch at the top of its display. That notch is there for a reason, though, as the Mi 8 comes with Infrared Face Unlock feature, advanced facial scanning reminiscent of the iPhone X’s implementation. The Mi 8 also comes with a dual camera setup on the back, and a regular capacitive fingerprint scanner, which is also included on its back side. The device’s bezels are quite thin, while the phone does come with a rather thin “chin”, which is included below its display.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 features a 6.21-inch fullHD+ (2248 x 1080) Super AMOLED display, along with 6GB of RAM and 64GB, 128GB or 256GB of native storage, depending on the variant you opt to get. The Xiaomi Mi 8 is fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor, while it comes with a 3,400mAh battery on the inside, which supports Quick Charge 4+ fast charging. Two 12-megapixel cameras are included on the back of the Mi 8, while a single 20-megapixel camera sits on the phone’s front side. Android 8.1 Oreo comes pre-installed on the Mi 8, while on top of it sits MIUI 9.5. The Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition comes with quite similar specs as the Mi 8, but it sports different face unlock tech, 8GB of RAM, and a see-through glass back.

Xiaomi Mi 8 Editor Rating:

The Xiaomi Mi 8 can compete with pretty much any other flagship out there, the company has packed top-of-the-line specs in this phone, and the device comes with advanced facial scanning, sleek design, and an improved dual camera setup on the back. Truth be said, the Mi 8 is considerably larger than its predecessor, the Mi 6, both its display and its general footprint, so that may repel some people, as the Mi 8 SE is inferior to the Mi 8, it’s a mid-range phone, though it is considerably more compact than the Mi 8. The Xiaomi Mi 8’s price point is quite competitive though, so you may prefer it over other flagship handsets out there.
