If you’ve been waiting for an official car dock for your brand new EVO 4G, wait no longer. Pick one up at your local Sprint retail store for a hefty $59 and prepare to be disappointed. My biggest gripe with this car dock, intuitively named the Car upgrade kit for the EVO 4G, is that you can’t mount the SD card meaning you can’t listen to music while you drive! What’s with that? I don’t know about the rest of you but I kinda like listening to music while I drive. If that wasn’t enough to tick you off, this car dock doesn’t come with a charging cable. So I guess the idea behind this thing is that you can talk hands free while you drive. A recent search on Ebay found 24 car docks for the EVO 4G, none of which prohibit mounting the SD card and all were offered at a fraction of the price with a Buy it Now. Shop around before pulling the trigger on this ‘official car dock’.
