Micro USB port issues for HTC EVO?

Through looking at the forums, it seems that there is an issue with the EVO’s micro USB port. The problems don’t seem to affect too many users. This could be an issue because you wouldn’t be able to charge the battery. Android has not been an OS that is known for good battery life, so this would be very important. Sprint stores have not always been cooperative when faced with these issues (as reported on the forums). HTC has said, however, that this is covered by the 1 year manufacturer warranty as long as it is not found to be customer misuse. Anyone with an EVO having these issues?
