The Sony Ericsson X8 has been heavy in the news lately. We saw the phone’s manual leaked and the passing of the handset at the FCC. This phone will originally be shipping with 1.6 with a 2.1 update in the fall. The phone will be unlocked, meaning without a specific carrier. It will work with North American 3g bands. meaning that AT&T will be a carrier you could use. The X8 will have Sony’s UI, which will include both Mediascape and Timescape. There is no shipping date as of yet and will sell for $300.
