How it works: Audible for Android is very clean in its presentation for an audio book app. The downloads are saved to your SD card and you can listen to your downloads by hitting the play button next to the book that you download. You you can bookmark, pause, play, rewind and fast forward your audio books while you are listening to them. Audible also features a button free option where you can swipe the commands instead of using the on screen display. There are many books to choose from and when you first load the program you receive a complimentary listing of books that you can download free of charge. If you decide to go with a paid account, the first three months will be 7.49 and the following months will be 14.95 which is a small price to pay if you are indeed an audio book fanatic. The New York Times says ” Audible.com offers digital books for the intellectually inclined” and with over seventy five thousand tittles, I’m sure we can find an audio book for all of us. Audible.com is an Amazon company.
Opinion: Audible is my first audio book program and I must say that I am truly impressed. I love eye candy and this app was great in its presentation. The functionality was great for a beginner like myself. The audio quality was also fantastic on the now obsolete G1 Device. Some have claimed that this was one of the apps that separated the Iphone-Android gap and that has since been filled. If you plan to listen to a lot of audio books on your device I would recommend purchasing a bigger micro SD card for you mobile device.
