Galaxy Tab at FCC with GSM Radio (Power-Play???)

We are all waiting for the release of the Samsung Galaxy Tab in the coming days. In recent findings Samsung may be making a crowd pleasing move. When the Galaxy Tab hit the FCC by the name “SHW-M180S,” it came loaded with dual-band 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi capable of speeds up to 150Mbps. The pleasing part is that it includes a GSM 1900 radio frequency, meaning an AT&T launch might be in the cards alongside the CDMA Tab that is rumored for Verizon. With reports of browsing through the WiFi Alliance database, some have been able to track the tablet down, they’ve spotted both a “GT-P1000T” and a “GT-P1000L,” each with dual-band WiFi. This is really suggesting that there will be multiple versions in the production getting prepared to be shipped. Also the Global Certification Forum shows one of them actually has quad-band GSM and HSDPA connectivity. This could suggest even a T-Mobile Tab. This could be a wide-scaled power-play. Is there a better way than to be able to get the device from any carrier. The reason people would even consider it through a carrier is to get the subsidized price-point, which is essential to getting a crowd of people to buy such an expensive device.
