BenQ, welcome to the tablet craze! We are getting more and more excited for CES 2011 as countless manufacturers are advancing into the tablet market. BenQ, a company that has traditionally focused more on monitors and accessories, has announced plans to unveil a tablet at CES 2011. The show will commence in Las Vegas next month and BenQ will show off their first 10.1 inch tablet running Android, complete with 1024 x 600 resolution touch panel, and a Samsung processor clocked at 833 MHz.
BenQ anticipates selling the R100 affiliated with content deals that combine it with reading material, such as books, magazines or newspaper subscriptions. The battery is expected to last up to 12 hours when used for reading, but will likely decline when used for more advanced tasks like gaming and browsing the Web. The R100 tablet will offer language support, which is an uncommon feature not found in many other tablets. Users can use their finger or a stylus to take notes, and this is geared toward Asian customers as it not only supports English, but Chinese as well, in both simplified and traditional characters.
