I shall call it… Mini-me… What do you mean that’s copyrighted?… Okay, okay let’s call it The Samsung Galaxy Mini!
Why would someone want to buy this bite-sized morsel of Android goodness? Well, because it looks so gosh darn cute next to my tea-cup Chihuahua… Lame, but in all seriousness this phone is going to be a more conservatively-priced version of the Samsung Galaxy S 4G.
I don’t want that to make this phone seem cheap (because it is far from it), this phone will give people on fixed budgets or those who might be intimidated at the awesomeness of the Samsung Galaxy S 4G an option that doesn’t flake out. So for a great price you can enjoy a fast processor clocked at 600MHz, a 3.2 touchscreen with 150MB of storage, availability of a microSD memory card (so that you can upgrade your memory up to 32 GB) and will run Android OS 2.2 (Froyo). I’d have to say this is a win-win situation.
Next on the list of nicely priced budget-friendly phones is the T-Mobile Move and this phone is proof that good things come in small packages. This phone will also launch with Froyo, but if you are hard of sight, its 2.8 inch display might not be for you. T-Mobile Move will also come with a 2 megapixel camera and 150 MB of storage but i’m sure that’ll be upgradeable through its microSD storage.
So how much can we expect to see these mini-brawlers go for? Do I hear S200, or $100? Try a low, low price set under $75 with a contract agreement, now that is not a bad deal if I do say so myself. And you can see them hit the shelves sometime in the spring, according to the T-Mobile announcement.
