MSI's WindPad 100A Joins the Honeycomb Tablet Parade

As if there wasn’t enough upcoming tablets featuring Android OS 3.0 (Honeycomb), we’ve got yet another addition to the lineup. Taiwan-based Micro-Star International (MSI) has plans to introduce the WindPad 100A, a 10.1-inch tablet running Android’s Honeycomb OS.

The Windpad 100A’s specs are being kept under lock and key, but we have managed to pull together a few rumored specs and details about its release, minus photos which seem to be non-existent at the moment. The 100A is expected to include NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 processor, Wi-Fi, an accelerometer, auto light sensor, weigh in at 800 grams, 13 millimeters at its thinnest point, and is reported to have 8 hours of battery life per full charge.

A release date is rumored to be set for June 1st with a price tag said to be only $399 in the US, much cheaper than  its future competition like the Moto Xoom. This price will also make the WindPad 100A the first Honeycomb tablet to cost less than an iPad.
