BlackBrerry Messenger Coming to Android?

I’ve often heard people say to someone ‘I’ll BBM you’ and thought could i get away with saying ‘I’ll Whatsapp you’? Probably not but Whatsapp is a good way of communicating with people. I use Blackberry Messenger Android for keeping in touch with Family members abroad and sometimes with the odd friend here in the UK. You can have group chat, attach photos and other media and it’s a good free way of keeping in touch with people.

We know that Blackberry users love their Blackberry Messenger Android too but will it see it’s way on to Android handsets? Looks like that might be the case as reported by BGR who have said that a very reliable source has informed them  that Blackberry Messenger for Android will be making an appearance on Android and iOS, not sure as to when or even if it will be a free service or if you’ll have to pay for it. If you have to pay for it i couldn’t see it being a hit and then there is the point of what services will they leave out if any. Now if they are going to charge for Blackberry Messenger  for Android or reduce the functions why would anyone bother when there are other great services such as Whatsapp in the Android Market now?

There could be motives for the move and in the news recently what with a few Blackberry phones running Android apps and looking at their Playbook users having Android apps running . HP aren’t that chuffed either with them.
