Motorola XOOM Update includes Flash Support
As you can see from the screenshot above, Motorola plans on rolling out a XOOM update overnight March 10th/11th, to prepare them for the Adobe Flash 10.2 update that will be coming soon. Almost all Android phones are advertised heavily with their support for Flash, so the XOOM’s release without it was kind of a bummer. But here, in the third week since its release, Motorola is prepping for the tablet to receive Flash.
Your XOOM must be As Delivered: No Root, All Stock Software to Receive Update
But, there is a catch; Matt (forums manager) over at the Motorola Owner’s Forum has gone on and stated that you will, in fact, need to be unrooted, locked and running stock software in order to get this update. Now this contradicts (slightly) what he said a few days ago about upgrades being able to be done on rooted devices. So, if you’ve rooted your device and loaded any custom software or UIs, you better read up on how to get it back to stock before attempting to install this update.
