Many have been waiting for and wondering about the next installment for Motorola’s Atrix series. Well, the wait is pretty much over. There has been many rumors for release dates after there was a sighting on Bluetooth SIG’s website giving us a clue that it was in one of the final stages before release for consumers to get their hands on. No official specs have been released except for a lot of speculations such as, a Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB of RAM, 4G LTE, a 4.3 in. display w/ 1280 x 720 resolution and possibly a 13 megapixel rear camera! And don’t forget about Android 4.0, maybe even Jellybean? Not sure, but we are sure AT&T will carry the Atrix 3 as they did the Atrix and Atrix 2. Some are even assuming that AT&T will keep it, w/contract, near $200.
As many already know, the fingerprint scanner was a huge hit with the revealing of the first Motorola Atrix along with the dock package that came with it, the second installment lacked the fingerprint scanner which could have easily been a cause for the reduced attention it gained.
The Motorola Atrix 2, released fall of 2011, already a 4.3 in. display, 540 x 960 pixels (inferior to what may be expected with the Atrix 3), 8 ½ hours of talk time, roughly 16 days stand by time, and an 8 megapixel camera which will be quickly forgotten without regret if the Motorola Atrix 3 showcases a 13 megapixel camera. There seems to be a bit of a balance game comparing the past specs to the speculation specs of the Atrix 3.
But putting the assumptions aside, we should be hearing official info about this in the coming weeks with possibly its release, so stay tuned in as we will bring you the updates before you know it.
