Samsung recently released the Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S3 in several regions across the globe. However, this means that other Samsung devices that are expecting the same update should receive it a bit sooner rather than later as well. These devices include the All time favorite Galaxy S2, the Galaxy Note and the recently launched Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet, these are the devices Samsung has promised to update to Android 4.1 in the near future.
Well, If you’re the owner of any of these 3 devices or all of them then you’ll be glad to know that Samsung Sweden has confirmed that these devices will receive the Jelly Bean update in the coming months, let’s say November and December, That’s about right. As you can see in the image below the Galaxy S2 will receive the update sometime in November and other 2 devices have been scheduled to receive the update in Q4 this year that means it’s either November or December.
The website also mentions that the updates will be available by both KIES and OTA methods. You can download it directly to the phone or just connect it to the PC and install it via KIES, whatever suits you. Well, we’re looking forward to this update because the Galaxy S2 is one the top devices that Samsung has ever made and it definitely deserves an update at this time, same goes for the OG Note and the Note 10.1
