Featured: Indian Developers Now Allowed To Submit Paid Apps To Google Play

Google Play features hundreds of thousands of apps, mostly free, but also many paid. Did you know though that only certain countries are allowed to submit paid apps to the Play Store? There’s still other countries such as the United Arab Emirates who are not allowed to submit paid apps. There’s surely many reasons as to why this is, but the first thing that comes to mind is to not overload Google Play itself.

If every developer from all over the World was allowed to submit paid apps, this would not only increase the review process and time it takes for Google to look things over, but also overwhelm the market more than it already has.

However, the big G has made a pretty big announcement on the Android Developer’s Blog and Indian developers are now allowed to submit paid apps. While this doesn’t sound like a big deal, it absolutely is. For the longest time, India has been full of many talented developers.

This opens up a new opportunity to share their paid creations in the Play Store. Being that India ranks as the fourth largest market in the World for downloading apps, this is sure to be a welcome addition. With this new introduction as well, Google will allow devs to set prices in their own currency.
