LG’s very own nexus finally was revealed this week and while they were in fact leaks, there’s also been some new developments in terms of hardware and benchmarks. A Russian site by the name of Onliner.by managed to get ahold of the LG Nexus 4 and find out even more about the upcoming phone.
Keep in mind this isn’t the retail model yet so things could change before then. With that said, the design is very reminiscent of the Galaxy Nexus, there’s no doubt about it. While the screen in the Galaxy Nexus had a slight curve, the display in the LG Nexus is completely flat and may be covered in some sort of scratch resistant glass.
The screen is said to be very good being that is in fact 4.7 inches at 720 x 1280 with even better image quality than the Galaxy Nexus. Looking at the rear-facing camera, it’s completely level with the backplate and doesn’t protrude. Also, it is 8 megapixels, not 13 like the Optimus G models we’ve talked about.
Again, being that the phone is still in development, the software proved to not be running at its best. Considering the LG Nexus was running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, has a 1.5GHZ Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 APQ8064 quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, and an Adreno 320 GPU, it should have surpassed other devices it was put up against.
As you can see in the benchmarks below, the LG Nexus 4 scored below the previous generation Galaxy Note and the HTC One X. Hopefully LG has a lot more tweaking to do and we see a better performing phone come October 29th which is the rumored launch date.
