And the Nexus phone rumors just keep piling up. Chances are, if you follow us here on Android Headlines, you saw an article claiming that four different manufacturers, LG being one of them, will be rolling out their very own Nexus device. While specs and details have been rather scarce, it’s looking like we might at least be getting a bit closer to finding out more details on LG’s Nexus phone.
According to MoDaCo, LG’s Nexus will share a lot of the same specs with the Optimus G. From the sounds of it and what we reported yesterday, the big difference will be the design as the Optimus G has sharp corners and the Optimus G Nexus will be more rounded and with a silver ring around the entire outside. Anyways, enough of all that. Let’s get into the rumored specs, shall we?
- 1280 x 768 True-HD IPS screen (no size, though the Optimus G will be 4.7 inches)
- Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 quad-coreprocessor
- 2GB RAM
- 8GB and 16GB versions to start with at least
- 8 megapixel rear-facing camera
- On-screen soft keys, wireless charging built-in
- No microSD card slot, non-removable battery
- Android 4.2 Key Lime Pie
The rumored Nexus device is also said to launch mid-November. The phone doesn’t look to be a slouch by any means, though the lack of a microSD card slot and not being able to remove the battery is a potential concern. For many users, 8 or 16GB won’t be nearly enough storage and until we see how battery life is, it’ll be up in the air whether a non-removable battery is a good thing or not.
