Featured: The Motorola RAZR i Lands In The UK On O2

With fall comes a slew of new devices in preparation for the holidays. The holidays make up a very large chunk of sales for tech companies, whether it’s smartphones or tablets they’re selling. Last month, Motorola announced the RAZR i which was said to land in the UK come October and looks like they held their promise.

What makes this phone different from other phones currently on the market is that it will be running one of Intel’s new mobile processors. It’s been speculated if Intel’s latest mobile chips stack up to the competition. For example, Qualcomm released a video somewhat attacking Intel and supposedly showing how their 2010 processors were better. Either way, we’ll have to wait and see.

The Motorola RAZR i is currently available from Phones 4U with none other than O2. The RAZR i is free with the purchase of either their Data 100 plan at £21.50 per month or their Unlimited On And On plan with unlimited minutes, text, and 1GB data for £31.00 per month.

Here’s the specs:

  • 4.3 inch qHD 960 x 540 display with Gorilla Glass
  • 2GHZ Intel Atom single-core processor
  • 8-32GB internal storage with microSD card support up to 32GB
  • 8 megapixel rear-facing camera
  • VGA front-facing camera
  • NFC, water repellant
  • 2,000 mAh battery
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

All in all, it’ll be interesting to see how well the RAZR i performs in customers hands. Here’s a fun little fact: The camera can fire up in less than 1 second and is capable of taking 10 photos in just a second. Pretty slick eh?
