Verizon is stepping up their game. With a 5″ display, 1080p resolution, and the Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, Verizon’s newest device is shaping up to be a worthy contender to any phone on the market.
Additional specs and a benchmark test have now surfaced on the HTC 6435 device that will be heading to Verizon. HTC developer @Football4PDA on Twitter gave out the following list of specs for what is now called the HTC DLX:
- Snapdragon S4 Pro 1.5 GHz,
- 5″ Full HD Display
- 1.5 GB ROM
- 16 GB of internal memory
- 12MP rear camera
- 2MP front camera
- 2500 mAh non-removable battery
- running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean
When it came time for testing, the new device for Verizon showed an impressive overall score of 11510 on the AnTuTu Benchmark app. As a point of comparison, the international version of the Samsung Galaxy SIII gets about 12000 in AnTuTu. The HTC DLX would then be Verizon’s first device to reach that type of score on AnTuTu.
At this point, we still cannot be sure if Verizon intends the HTC DLX (which could become the Droid Incredible X when it hits stores) to be marketed more as a phablet to compete with several other devices in the growing market or as a phone.
There’s still no official release date yet, but it looks like we’re getting close to finding out just what Verizon intends.
