Android 4.1 – Jelly Bean On Its Way to The Galaxy Note 10.1 3G in the UK, Spain and Nordic Countries

There’s been a few Jelly Bean updates in the past 24 hours from Android 4.1.1 to Android 4.2.1. Last night we got word that Android 4.1.1 with Sense 4+ was rolling out to the One X in Europe, Asia and South America. This morning Google let loose Android 4.2.1 to the Nexus 4 and Nexus 10, although I have not yet received it on my Nexus 4. And now Samsung is starting to roll out Android 4.1 to the 3G version of the Galaxy Note 10.1 (N8000). The Update to the Galaxy Note 10.1 3G/Wi-Fi version is currently making its way through the UK, Spain, and various Nordic Countries which we assume are Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland. If you get the update, please let us know in the comments what country you’re in so it can be added to the list of countries the update is available in.

The upgrade to Android 4.1 – Jelly Bean, of course adds in various tweaks to Touchwiz’s Nature UX found on the Note 10.1 and other Android 4.x Samsung devices, like the Galaxy S3, and the Note 2. This update also features the Premium Suite (which includes quick command, easy clip, Enhanced Handwriting, Enhanced S Note, Photo Note and plenty more), better multi-window support (almost making it worthwhile to use, and much less laggy), Air View as seen on the Note 2 with Jelly Bean, along with other various features from the Note 2 and of course the normal bug fixes.

If you haven’t received your notification for the OTA update and you are in one of the countries mentioned above, you can ping Sammy’s server to grab the Android 4.1 update by doing the following:

  • Go into Settings
  • Tap ‘About Phone’
  • Hit ‘System Updates’
  • Tap ‘Check Now’

It’s just that easy. Now you may not get the update today, you may end up waiting a bit longer. But you should have it within the next week or so. If not,we’ve got the firmware links below thanks to Samsung-Updates and Sammobile. And when you do get the update, be sure to hit up the comments below and let us know how the update went for you.
