We already know that HTC is holding an event on February 19th. They are holding events in London and New York City simultaneously, which is something that Samsung would normally do. We’ve also already seen countless rumors, leaks, and more for the HTC M7, which I’m still not 100% confident is the final name of the device. Thanks to our friends over at HTC Source, it looks like we know when HTC is planning on making the M7 available to everyone.
Sources are saying that the HTC M7 will be available on March 8th. That is just a little over 2 weeks from the announcement in New York City and London. Although the source was not able to provide which carriers would start selling the new HTC device on March 8th. We’re still going to keep our hopes up that all three carriers will have it launching on the same day. That would be awesome. So far, we’ve heard that Verizon, Sprint and AT&T will be selling the device. It is smart of HTC to have the M7 launching in March, because that gives the Taiwanese manufacturer a good 2-3 months before Samsung’s next Galaxy S device hits the shelves and actually gives HTC a chance this year.
We’ve also been told that the M7 will come in a couple different colors. This includes black and silver/white. The renders we’ve seen so far, don’t indicate being two-toned, so we are going to go out on a limb and say that the silver/white version would be all white with a silver casing, and a white bezel around the display. Now we do want to remind you that these are rumors and not confirmed. Which means you’ll want to take them with a grain of salt as they might be true and they might not be. We’ll have to wait and see.
So what are you thinking the HTC M7 will really be called when it finally gets announced in about 3 weeks? Personally, I’m still holding out hope that it doesn’t look exactly like the Droid DNA or the Butterfly. But let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
