As we barrel towards Friday April 19th which is the official launch date of HTC’s 2013 flagship smartphone the HTC One, there has been no shortage of pre-order deals out there meant to entice people to pick up the device that the Taiwanese manufacturer hopes will put them back on the map.
Just yesterday we reported on Best Buy jumping into the fray by giving people the chance to sign up for the 32GB One at $199.99 for the Sprint or AT&T model and $249.99 for T-Mobile’s. This is in addition to other deals for the smartphone like AT&T including a $90 HTC Media Link box with an online pre-order, or T-Mobile tossing in a $60 HTC One compatible car kit after you sign up for one. Not to be left out Radio Shack is giving out a $10 coupon on top of $50 Google Play credit to people who decide on ordering the Sprint HTC One through the electronics store.
Noticeably silent on the pre-order madness sales has been Sprint. With AT&T and T-Mobile both offering deals it would only seem to make sense that the country’s third largest carrier would offer some kind of incentive to pick up the One, and they have finally broken their silence this morning.
It turns out that Sprint will be offering an online pre-order of the HTC One at $99.99 for new customers only. If you take into account the $100 refund directly from HTC after the purchase of the One, that amounts to a free phone. Sprint Also has a buy back program so in reality you could make a few bucks on the deal.
There is no time frame as to how long this deal will be available, and there is a pretty good chance that when the HTC One finally hits the shelves in a little over a week it will be back at full price, so now is the time to buy if you’re one of the people who lives in good coverage area. Sprint needs to gain some momentum back these days especially after all the hullabaloo over the new T-Mobile plans. They still do offer unlimited plans which is something that the big two carriers don’t have so this turns a good deal into a great deal provided you can get a Sprint signal.
Pre-ordering the HTC One? Let us know which deal you took. There are so many good ones out there to choose from.
