Google Holding Android Event on July 24th – Could We See the Moto X, Nexus 7, and Android 4.3?

Right now, Google is sending out invites to everyone for an event on July 24th. It’s going to be taking place in San Francisco and starts at 9am. It’ll also be livestreamed. Which means it’s something we’re going to want to see. It all starts at 9am PDT, which is 12-noon EDT and 5pm in the UK.

What could we be seeing from this “Breakfast with Sundar Pichai” event? Well we’re figuring Android 4.3, and the Nexus 7. But we could of course see the much anticipated Moto X. Although I still believe Motorola will hold their own event for the Moto X. We’ve seen Android 4.3 around for quite a while now and the new Nexus 7 has hit the FCC, bluetooth SIG, and even listed on some retailers internal programs. We’re expecting it to have a 1080p display and be available in 16GB and 32GB variants. Along with a Snapdragon 600 powering it. With all the upgrades, we’re also expecting the price to jump up a bit to $229 and $269. All things told, that’s still a great price for that tablet.

It all goes down next week. On Tuesday, we have Verizon and Motorola’s event, then Wednesday we have Google’s event. So next week will be fairly busy, which is unusual for the summertime. Hopefully this time next week we’ll have something new to talk about. Like the Nexus 7! I know I desperately need to replace mine, but I might just wait for the new Nexus 10 this fall.

How many of you are excited for this event next week in San Francisco? What do you think Google is going to show off? Maybe a cheaper Chromebook Pixel? Or will it be just Android stuff, since Sundar is in charge of Android and Chrome now. Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.
