Motorola Continues Patriotism as they Launch the Moto X Sign Up page

Motorola teased the Moto X yesterday by previewing their new ad they are putting in many major newspapers today. Now Motorola has set up a sign-up page for the new Moto X which is set to be announced this summer. We just don’t know when. Just like any other sign-up page, you just enter your email address. Then you should get updates when it’s time for the Moto X. Hopefully you’ll find out about it here at Android Headlines before Motorola emails you.

The sign-up page for Motorola shows off that the Moto X will be made in Fort Worth, Texas. They also say that they’ll be employing about 2,000 new employees at launch, and they are hoping to grow. Motorola is also still touting that “the first smartphone designed, engineered and assembled in the USA”. It’s always great to see phones made in the USA. As it will help our economy and bring in more jobs. In fact, Motorola is using an old Nokia factory to make the Moto X.

Motorola confirmed that the Moto X will be announced before October, but at this rate we might not see the Moto X announced until late summer or early fall. We’ve heard many specs about the Moto X. We’ve even seen the X FON go through the FCC for US Cellular, AT&T, Verizon and Sprint. I’m still convinced that the X FON and the Moto X are two different devices. I’m sure Motorola knows you can’t call a dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro-based device a “hero” device in 2013. Motorola has said that the Moto X will be able to anticipate what you’re going to do. It’ll also be “always-on” so let’s hope it has a huge battery so it’ll last through out the day.

How many of you are anxiously awaiting the Moto X from Motorola? It’s supposedly going to have a design inspired by Google, but Motorola won’t get any special treatment from Google for Android updates or the Nexus program. Which really isn’t all that surprising. Let us know in the comments how excited you are about the Moto X.
