Moto X is Indeed Coming to T-Mobile!

Today, Motorola announced the Moto X. After nearly a year of hyping up the device, the company finally unveiled it at an event in NYC. T-Mobile, along with AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon are going to be carrying the Moto X beginning late August or early September. There were plenty of rumors saying that the device would not be coming to T-Mobile. But it appears that it is indeed coming to T-Mobile and we’re assuming pricing will be the same as other carriers. Which is $199 for the 16GB and $249 for the 32GB on a 2-year contract. Of course, T-Mobile’s pricing and plans are different so we might see some differences from the other major carriers pricing.

The Moto X is featuring a 4.7-inch 720p AMOLED display, a 2200mAh battery, 10MP camera and 2MP on the front. Along with a Snapdragon S4 Pro processor which is dual core and using Motorola’s new X8 Mobile Computing System we saw in the DROIDs last week. It’s also bringing 2GB of RAM along with support for HSPA+ 42mbps and 4G LTE.

There is also word that Motorola is working with Google on a Google Play Edition of the Moto X, which will be available through Google Play, but will most likely be quite expensive. So the rumors of “Nexus pricing” look to be false, at least for now. Then again, this was Google’s first stab at building a device with Motorola. Google nor Motorola has said when the Moto X Google Play Edition will be available, they are just saying “soon” at this point. Hopefully we’ll get more information soon. There’s also a developer edition, which will probably be for Verizon, for those that want an unlocked bootloader on Verizon.

So the Moto X is indeed coming to T-Mobile. How many of you are excited to see this device make its way to Team Magenta? I’m glad to see it on T-Mobile, but I would have liked to see lower prices. Then Motorola would have really had a hit on their hands with the Moto X. Don’t you agree?
