Could you imagine a world without Google? Yeah, I don’t want to imagine that either. Google has been around for 15 years now. That seems like a long time, but it was the end of September, 1998 when Google was born, but where was it born? We’ve got pictures of the house, via Forbes. On Thursday, Google had a press event near the house, and Forbes was able to take some snaps of the house, that’s actually not open to the public. It’s a 49-year-old ranch-style home in Menlo Park, CA, that’s where Google’s co-founders Larry Page (Who attended the University of Michigan “Go Blue!”) and Sergey Brin set up shop shortly after incorporating the company in 1998. It’s out of sight from the street, set back down a driveaway behind ivy and trees.

It’s locate on a quiet suburban street, that’s not open to the public. We can now get to see where Sergey and Larry lived and worked, at least until they reached seven employees just six months later and had to move to a bigger world headquarters which is in Mountain View. Back in 2006, Google bought this four-bedroom, three-bath house just for fun. I wish I could buy houses just for fun.
We’ve got plenty of pictures down below which show some really old computers, I’m sure they aren’t in use anymore. But it’s amazing to see how quickly desktops have changed in 15 years. There’s plenty of google touches too like a bookcase with green, yellow, blue and red books, a patio with green, yellow, blue and red chairs and even a lamp with the same colors.
This house probably has all kinds of ideas, and memories inside. I’m thinking Google should open it up as some kind of museum or historical landmark. But knowing Google, if they did they wouldn’t charge you to take tours of the house. I’d definitely like to go see it. Enjoy the pictures in the mean time.
