Dead Trigger 2 Launches on October 23rd with Rocket Chickens in Tow

The original Dead Trigger was one of those mobile games that made pretty much everyone say wow the first time they saw it.  If you ever played it you’ll know just how good the game actually was, and the gameplay was equally as good as the graphics.  Proving that first person shooters can be good on an all-touch device, Dead Trigger has well over 10 million downloads on the Google Play Store alone, and is one of the higest rated zombie games on the Play Store.  Developer Madfinger Games started teasing and showing off the sequel to Dead Trigger, Dead Trigger 2, around June of this year, and blew everyone in the mobile world away once again.  Graphically Dead Trigger 2 looks like something that would reside on a home console rather than on your phone, and it does it by being powered by the amazing Unity Engine.

“You’ll be amazed at the Realistic Water Reflections, Dynamic Shadows, Dynamic Light Projectors and Dynamic Grass,” promises Pavel Cizek, Project Leader and Graphic Artist at Madfinger Games. Dead Trigger 2 graphics also include Per-pixel Lighting and Advanced Ragdoll Physics.

It’s quite possible that Dead Trigger 2 will be the prettiest game on the Play Store when it launches on October 23rd.  This is not only just in time for Halloween, but also will likely be played on thousands of new supercharged phones running next-generation processors like Nvidia’s Tegra 4 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800.  Much like many Tegra-powered games have been in the past, it looks like there might even be additional enhancements to Tegra 4 powered devices like the Nvidia Shield.  This time around Madfinger is modifying the free-to-play experience, foregoing the premium currency model and moving to a player-run crafting system.  This model should lead to some seriously interesting weapon combinations, scenarios, and who knows what else, really.

Madfinger isn’t just stopping with better graphics and a different pay system though, it’s changing the way the whole world works within game.  Dead Trigger 2 will now be a fully real-time adventure, with missions coming down the pike weekly and monthly, allowing communities of players to join together to take down epic bosses, and share in the rewards of missions.  Expect plenty of regular updates and new content, including new weapons and locations to visit.  Madfinger Games is showing a promising sequel in Dead Trigger 2, and we’ll all have some excellent Halloween themed shooting going on when it launches on the Google Play Store on October 23rd.  In the meantime check out the opening real-time trailer that Madfinger Games has released, along with a few titillating screens:
