LG Nexus 5 Leaks with Android 4.4. KitKat Startup Screen – Who's Excited Now?

Well here we go with more Nexus 5 leaks and KitKat leaks. This ones coming out of 9to5Google this evening. These leaks look very similar to the device we saw in the KitKat video from earlier this month. Along with the FCC filing from last week. 9to5Google has a few pics of the device along with videos of the device with KitKat running on the device. So this definitely is looking like the real deal. Of course, we won’t know anything official until next month, but it’s always fun to look at the leaks.

The Nexus 5 is said to be modelled after the G2, which is a fantastic device. We’ve heard that it’ll be sporting a Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, along with 2GB of RAM and a 4.96-inch display. Hopefully it is a 1080p display and not 720p. As far as the camera goes, we have no idea yet. However we’re hoping for the same camera that’s in the G2, which is a pretty amazing camera. As I’ve been playing with it for the past couple of days.

According to 9to5Google, it appears that the device was left charging, unsupervised by a Google employee at a bar. Guess these folks never learn huh? That’s something Apple made famous with the iPhone 4 way back in the day. This is how an employee of the bar was able to snap the photos and a couple short videos which are shown below.

The device does look a lot like the design used on the Nexus 7, which is great to see, but the camera sensor looks a bit small, which means the camera might not be all that good. As you can see in the image, it is clearly a LG device, as there’s a LG logo at the bottom below the vertical Nexus logo. It also looks like the notification light has moved to the top, instead being below the on-screen home button. There’s also a new boot animation, which I believe looks a lot like the one on the Google Play Edition phones. Although I could be wrong.
