Review: ToughGuard Shell for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Now that we’ve got our Galaxy Note 3 review out of the way, it’s time to start  reviewing some accessories. Since a few of our staff members own the Galaxy Note 3 and don’t just have a review unit, you’re going to see a lot of these reviews throughout the next few months. The first case up for review is the ToughGuard Shell. This one is in red, but also comes in black, dark blue and purple. This case is available for $11 right now which makes it a very nice deal.

This ToughGuard Shell is made from tough polycarbonate, which is the same material the HTC One X and Moto X are made out of. Yes it’s still a plastic case, but it really does feel good in the hand. Not to mention it looks great on the Galaxy Note 3 as well. It coves the back along with the left and right sides. There are cut outs for the camera/flash module, S Pen, Speakers, charging port, volume rocker, headphone jack and the power button. It’s a relatively thin case so it won’t make your phone too terribly thick.

I’ve been using the ToughGuard shell on my Galaxy Note 3 for a few days already, and I really do love it. The Galaxy Note 3 was beautiful before and with the faux leather backing, I really liked how it felt in the hand. It wasn’t nearly as slippery as previous Samsung devices. But with this ToughGuard Shell, it felt even better. I wasn’t even having trouble keeping from dropping it, which was very nice.

The ToughGuard is available at Mobile Fun. You can also find loads more Galaxy Note 3 cases from Mobile Fun. We’ll have plenty more coming in soon, so make sure you stay tuned to those reviews. What kind of case are you rocking on the Galaxy Note 3? Or are you using it naked?
