Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Information:

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was the follow-up to the successful Galaxy Note 2 and improved in every way. The Note 3 used a chrome looking, ribbed, frame and for the removable back they used a faux leather material with faux stitching that actually looks quite nice and feels great in the hand – certainly nicer looking than the shiny plastic back of the Note 2…not to mention, easier to hold.

The display increased in size from 5.5-inches to 5.7-inches and from an HD display to a Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with 386 pixels-per-inch (PPI). The Galaxy Note 3's display uses Samsung's own Super AMOLED display for the most vibrant of colors – it has the blackest blacks and contrasts of any display. The 13MP main camera with auto focus and LED Flash take some very nice pictures with many software options built-in. The 2.0 front-facing camera (FFC) does a nice job with video chats and taking selfies.

It sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz or an Exynos 5 Octa-Core Clocked at 1.9GHz, depending what market it is distributed (US gets the Snapdragon). This is coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with a microSD Card slot to add an additional 64GB of storage. It has built-in Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, NFC, a microSD 3.0, DLNA, an IR Blaster and has both Wi-Fi and VoLTE calling capabilities. The Note 3 is powered by a 3200mAh battery and has been updated with Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

One of the outstanding options in the Galaxy Note series is the inclusion of the S-Pen or Stylus – it is what differentiates the Note series phablet from over large display smartphones. The Samsung Note series has many built-in functions and apps that take full advantage of the S-Pen. Multi-tasking is a breeze on the Note 3. Samsung's TouchWiz can be both a blessing and a curse – there are many features and options…some people think too many of them are gimmicky, but others are truly useful.

The Samsung Galaxy Note series is different, in a good way, from other smartphones and even phablets. Samsung has done a very good job with this niche-type device. Including a S-Pen was a smart move on their part and the great software and bevy of third-party apps really allows the Note 3 to be a productive tool and much more than simply a 'phone.'

Samsung made a few subtle changes in the design, but just enough to change the look and feel of the device – adding a little more 'class' to the Note series. The build, the display, superb multi-tasking, the S-Pen and the software make the Galaxy Note 3 a worthy successor in the Note series.
