Samsung Galaxy S4 mini Coming Soon to AT&T and Sprint?

It seems just like yesterday AT&T finally got the Samsung Galaxy S3 mini – wait, that was just two weeks ago for only $.99 on a two-year contact. Today, our good tweeting buddy, @evleaks, has tweeted us about the Galaxy S4 mini going to both AT&T and Sprint, although I cannot imagine it being only $.99.

As with the Galaxy S3 mini, the Galaxy S4 mini had an international launched months ago, but took its good old time reaching the US, but these latest tweets show it will soon be arriving at the number two and number four carriers in the US. No exact date is announced, but generally when @evleaks gives us a tweet, the device is not far behind – perhaps he will tweet again and give us more details.

The tweet for the Sprint Galaxy S4 mini was from yesterday and we took a look at it then – it appears they will get the Frost White and Black Mist versions, while the tweet from today shows us that AT&T will be receiving a PINK version, and we do mean hot pink! There was no indication on whether AT&T will carry only the Pink version or also get the more traditional Black and White, as well.

Specifications are as follows:

  • 4.3-inch qHD display 960—540
  • 1.7GHz dual-core processor
  • Andrid 4.2.2
  • 1.5GB of RAM
  • 8GB of internal storage; microSD card support
  • 1900mAh battery

Certainly not a high-end device like its bigger brother, the Galaxy S4, these mini versions do fit the size some people are looking for, and they do not put too much strain on the pocketbook as well.  This is a good phone for the kids, or someone making the move from “dumb” phone to smartphone, giving them a big step up from their previous device and allowing them to “test the waters.”  Many users do not like the 4.7-inch or 5+-inch screens on the newer phones as they seem to grow larger with each new announcement, so this 4.3-inch will fit those individuals quite nicely.

If the Galaxy S4 mini was a reasonable price, do you think these would tempt you, especially if you are already on Sprint or AT&T…let us know in the comments or on Google+ what you think of the new mini smartphones.
