White Nexus 5 Hinted at By Alleged Retail Boxes

The Nexus 5 hasn’t been a well-kept secret of Google’s at all and it looks like a launch is finally fast approaching. After last night’s sneak preview of the new device in the Play Store, it’s unsurprising that retail packaging has appeared in Korea. The folks over at UnderKG have apparently gotten their hands on a White Nexus 5, or someone has sent them images of a Nexus 5 in its retail packaging. The Nexus 5 naming can clearly be seen on the back of the box, as can the LG logo on the side of the box.

For a retail package of the Nexus 5 to show up at this stage is hardly surprising but, to think that the white version of the Nexus 5 will be available at launch is a little surprising. After all, the white versions of any Nexus device since the Galaxy Nexus have always come along much later and been somewhat difficult to get hold of. The white Nexus 4 for instance took a long time to reach the Play Store and even then it only enjoyed a limited time run, selling out not too long after it went on sale.

Other than the fact that the Nexus 5 is going to be available in white – like most previous Nexus phones – there’s not much we can tell for this packaging. As we though, it looks like Google is keeping the design of the packaging in line with the new Nexus 7 and similar to the box of last year’s Nexus 4. Google have scheduled a Play Store event in New York City next week and there’s a strong possibility that’s where we see the release of the new Nexus 5 and hopefully, an ASUS-made Nexus 10, too.

We know that a lot of our readers are big Nexus fans here at Android Headlines so, we’d like to know just how many of you are planning to get the Nexus 5 at launch? What about a new Nexus 10? Shout out in the comments and on Google+!
