LG G Pro Lite Coming to India

 

This week, LG officially announced a more affordable version of the the G Pro. It cuts some corners but, still delivers a decent experience and manages to pack with it a stylus, too. It’s nothing too special with its MediaTek CPU and qHD display but, there are worse smartphones out there at this size. It’s also been announced that the device is headed to India in the near future.  Sony Xperia Z1 f (SO-02F) Announced for Japan

We’d been hearing for a long time that a smaller version of the Xperia Z1 was headed to shelves later this year and it turns out that those rumors were true. However, this appears to be a device only for Japan, at least right now. It’s got all the right specs for a device this size and is basically an Xperia Z1 squeezed into a smaller body, making this a seriously unique phone. Samsung Galaxy J Coming to Japan

 

Samsung has been lagging behind in Japan but, it looks like they’re about to change that. The Galaxy J is a beefed up version of their Galaxy S4 which is poised to go head-to-head with the Xperia Z1. Unlike past Samsung smartphones, this has more of a Japanese-feel to it and it’s also got some tweaked software, too. You can read more about it here and take a look at the specs below:

Spice Mobility Launches AndroidLand Stores in Bangalore and Noida

AndroidLand stores have now launched in India, as Fonearena are reporting. The stores offer expert advice, a Google Play Showcase area and more. With a whole array of devices to buy, it’s the best place to go for Android in the region. The store in Bangalore is a massive 2,300 sq ft, with the Noida store a more modest 900 sq ft. Dilip Modi, Co-Founder and Group CEO, Spice Global, had this to say at the launch:

We are excited to launch the first AndroidLand store in India. We are confident customers will love the fun and engaging store concept that we developed in collaboration with Google. We have created a destination for customers to experience Android technology and learn about what they can do with mobile Internet. HTC Desire 500 Launches in India for Rs. 21490

It’s certainly the best smartphone to be called a Desire from HTC but, it’s a decent price nonetheless. Of course, at this price, you would expect a little bit more. It’s colorful and has some of the biggest Sense 5 features however, and for those looking for a small but quality Android smartphone, this is a decent device. Take a look at the specs below:

Samsung Galaxy Round Hits SK Telecom

 

Samsung has beaten LG to the punch with their first flexible display packing smartphone, the Galaxy Round. Essentially, we’re looking at a Galaxy note with a curved display. The curve is noticeable and is certainly a unique look. While Samsung has no plans to release the device globally, South Koreans will be able to buy it on SK Telecom. You can read more here.

Pantech Vega Secret Note Becomes Official in South Korea

 

Pantech is about to give Samsung something to worry about when their latest smartphone goes on sale. With specs to match Samsung’s latest, this is a device that has a lot going for it. It also has the first fingerprint reader to show up on an Android device. With a mobile payment system based around your fingerprint coming to the device soon, there’s a lot Samsung will have to compete with at home. You can read more here.

Xiaomi Mi3 and Xiaomi TV Now Up for Pre-Order

Ramos i10 Tablet Surfaces in China; Looks Like a Giant HTC One

The Ramos i10 tablet might look like a copycat device but, under the hood things are pretty capable, indeed. With a 2 Ghz Intel chip, a 1900 x 1200 display and Android 4.2.2, things don’t look all that bad. It clearly looks an HTC One but, that can’t be a bad thing, surely? There’s two cameras on offer here and the device is said t be going on sale soon.
