The Ginormous HTC One Max Lands on Sprint This Friday for $299 on Contract

The HTC One Max was announced a little while ago, and it was confirmed to be heading to Sprint, Verizon and AT&T. But all we knew was it was coming “later this year”. Of course that doesn’t leave much room as 2013 is almost over. However today, Sprint announced that it will launch the HTC One Max on November 15th, which is this Friday. It’ll run you about $299 on a new contract, or if you want to check out Sprint’s One Up program, it’ll cost you $25/month. Which definitely isn’t a bad deal.

The HTC One Max has a 5.9-inch display, which also has Boomsound front-facing speakers making it a very large device. The display is a 1080p display, using the Super LCD technology, which is one of my favorites. It’s packing the Snapdragon 600, Android 4.3 and Sense 5.5 for software with a 3300mAh battery inside. Now we haven’t gotten our hands on the HTC One Max just yet, but we’re hearing good things about battery life on this one. Don’t forget that it has a fingerprint reader on the back of the device as well, for what that’s worth.

It’s nice to see the HTC One Max making it’s way to carriers finally, but I’m still a firm believer that HTC should have announced the HTC One, One Mini and One Max at the same time, in the same event. Similar to what Motorola did with Verizon and their DROID lineup. Launch all three at the same time, it would make a lot of people happy. Especially if all three devices were on all carriers. Instead the One Mini is exclusive to AT&T, and the One Max is coming to Sprint, Verizon and AT&T but no T-Mobile love. Hopefully HTC has learned from their mistakes in 2013 and will correct them in 2014, but it seems like I say this every year.
