During LG’s press conference at CES 2014 earlier this month, LG announced that the LG G Flex would be making it’s way to the US. It would be coming to Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T in the first half of this year. Now Sprint has already announced when it’ll be available as well as started pre-orders. But it appears as if T-Mobile is a bit further behind. Possibly because they are launching the Sony Xperia Z1s on Wednesday?
T-Mobile published their pre-registration page for the LG G Flex where you can give them your name, email, phone number and zip code and they will notify you when more information is available about pre-ordering and when the LG G Flex is available. However, judging on the past experiences, I’d venture to guess that we’ll probably tell you when it’s available before T-Mobile will. But that’s just a guess.
On T-Mobile’s website, they tout the large OLED curved display on the LG G Flex. They talk about how “the curve feels natural in your hand and follows the contours of the face.” The LG G Flex has a 6-inch 720p flexible display, as well as sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 13MP shooter on the back, as well as a 3500mAh battery inside. It will of course support T-Mobile’s 4G LTE network and their HSPA+ 42mbps network. Otherwise they wouldn’t be carrying it. The LG G Flex also has a “self healing” back, which doesn’t seem to be 100% self healing, but it is better than not having it at all. I expect that feature will get better in the next version though. So far there’s no word on pricing, but I’d expect it to be right in line with the likes of the Galaxy Note 3. As it appears to be about the same pricing as the Galaxy Note 3 over on Sprint.
