Getting the Most From Your Galaxy Note 3 – Several New Samsung Videos

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was introduced this past Fall, it quickly became their new flagship, and still stands up against all new comers so far as specifications and usability are concerned. Like all devices, it has its weak spots, most notably its speaker needs improving and TouchWiz UI, which will hopefully be corrected on the Galaxy Note 4 that should be coming out the third quarter 2014. It is still the beast it was when first released – 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with 386ppi, Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a 13MP camera – along with its S-Pen and integrated software. There are so many options and improvements on the Galaxy Note 3, many users only scratch the surface of what is available on this device. On Friday, Samsung posted several videos on how to get the most out of this wonderful device and we posted them below for you to go through – and what is nice about them, each is about two minutes in length, so you do not have to spend your entire afternoon watching them.

This first video will show you how to activate the Air Command feature on the Galaxy Note 3 – from this Air Command wheel, you can access five of the devices most used features:

After you have activated the Air Command feature, you can start using some of the S-Pen features, such as the Pen Window option that is found on the Air Command wheel, where you can draw a popup window that will contain several useful apps for easy access. The video below will show you how to use this feature:

This next video will show you how to use another feature of the Air Command wheel, called Action Memo, where you can turn handwritten memos into action links:

This next video below will show you how to use the Screen Write feature found on the Air Command wheel – this is one feature I use all of the time. It allows you to take an instant screenshot, write on it, draw on it, doodle on it, or do nothing with it and either save it, share it, or do both.

The video below shows you how to use the S Finder feature in the Air Command wheel. This feature will allow you to search the content of your entire Galaxy Note 3 or the internet – by inputting the search criteria using either the keyboard, S-Pen, or via a Voice Command. By choosing to write the search criteria, you can also search on symbols or entire formulas.

Another feature found on the Air Command wheel is called Scrapbooker that allows you to easily cut and save content that you may run across while you are using your Galaxy Note 3. Say you are looking for a new case for your Note 3, you would be able to grab and save different cases and then you can look at them later to help make your decision. The video below will show you how to use this great application:

Direct Pen is yet another great feature on the Galaxy Note 3 with its S-Pen and is the ability to handwrite your messages rather than using the pop-up keyboard – some people are more comfortable writing their messages or input. There are several areas where the Direct Pen feature can be used, Contacts for instance. You first have to turn this feature on to take advantage of it, and the video below will show you how to access the feature and then how to use it:

I saved one of the Galaxy Note 3’s most useful and exciting features for last – Multitasking using multiple windows – you can open two applications at a time and divide the screen into two separate windows that can be resized, or jump them around to suit your needs. The video below shows you how to use this wonderful feature that really makes the large screen of the Note 3 shine:

We hope you enjoyed the videos on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and that you will take advantage of the many useful features that you device offers. Please let us know on our Google+ Page if you use any of these features and what are your favorites that you can share with us.
