If you have been waiting for more evidence that AT&T will be getting the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, then you are in luck. The FCC has approved a device known as SM-P907A, and it resembles the Note Pro 12.2. This news confirms popular leakster @evleaks still has reliable information.
We first heard about the SM-P907A in December of 2013 thanks to a tweet by @evleaks. Though the leakster is known for giving reliable information, he is also known for being scarce with the details. The initial tweet only said that AT&T was getting the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro-codenamed SM-P907A. However thanks to the FCC, we have more confirmation supporting the idea of an AT&T branded Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. Yes, that means an AT&T logo will appear on the back of the device.
The FCC documents include diagrams showing the back of the device. One image is black and white and the other is in color. Looking at the black and white image, we can easily see the slot for the stylus. For a device as big as the Galaxy Note Pro,(about a 12.2-inch display) a stylus is almost mandatory. Which is why it makes sense that the tablet has a slot for the stylus. You can also see the 8MP rear facing camera. Right below that camera, we see the AT&T logo. However that is where the colored image differs.
When we look at the colored image we see the faux-leather backing, the camera is there and the stylus slot as well. What is absent is the AT&T logo, though that doesn’t mean it won’t appear on the finished product. So when will we see the finished product on AT&T shelves? There is no word just yet.
As far as a release date for the AT&T Galaxy Note Pro, there is no information. Which means there is no pricing details just yet. Though since the Note Pro has already released on Verizon Wireless, we can get an idea from there. Verizon has the LTE capable device priced at $749.99 with a contract. Though if that is too expensive for you, there is a WiFi only option for $699.99. It is likely that we will see prices similar to this when AT&T releases their version of the tablet. Both versions, (WiFi or LTE) are running on Android KitKat 4.4, with 3GB of RAM, and a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor.
